Wentworth SAPS gives children treats
Children were educated on issues such as stranger danger, violence and bullying
HUNDREDS of children were treated to sweet treats and an educational talk by members of the Wentworth SAPS and Wentworth Victim Friendly centre on 25 March.
Hordes of police vans visited different areas in Wentworth, gathering the children who were on school holiday to not only hand out sweets but to also educate them on issues such as stranger danger, violence and bullying. Parents were included as informative pamphlets were handed out to them making them aware of drugs and sexual abuse dnagers.
Communication officer, Lt Mabaso Gumede also spoke to the crowd, encouraging children and parents to report criminal activities and that policemen are there to protect and serve.
