Linda Bootes shares about trip to Aus
The only birthday this month was that of Sigrid (4 May) and she was wished a happy day.

LINDA gave a most interesting talk to members about her and her family’s recent trip to Australia at the May meeting of Bushlands Women’s Institute held at Bluff Bowling Club.
She also reported on her visit to Himeville where she saw snow for the first time.
Apologies were noted from Kay Mckee, Daphne du Plessis who is not well, and Marlene Jones who is away on holiday, and Hazel Caldwell. It was lovely to have Yvonne Lane back after her fall, and all other members. Visitor Jeanette Johnston was welcomed. The meeting was opened with the Mary Stewart Collect.
In a round robin, the above members who were not well were wished a quick return to good health. Yvonne Lane conveyed her thanks to all who had been so caring following her fall at Checkers, which resulted in a broken wrist and a gash on her leg that required eight stitches. Angela was well again, Marie Brown is only going away for three months and is not sick as was reported last month and she was having a get together of a number of her family who were having birthdays on Mother’s Day, Sigrid’s family had three sets of twins, Nora Brown had enjoyed her stay in Mozambique, and Yvonne Munro’s surgery has cleared up well.
The only birthday this month was that of Sigrid (4 May) and she was wished a happy day.
The raffle prizes were won by L Bootes and Y Munro.
The one and only competition entry was by L Bootes who obtained 100 points for her apple crumble tarts.
