Quad-Para angling contest needs your help
The organisers need to cater for at least 500 people on the day
HELP make the 2016 Quad-Para KZN fishing competition at the Durban Naval Base a success by offering your support.
The event, which is hosted by the naval base for the eighth year in a row, takes place on Saturday, 9 July.
“As this competition is solely for persons with disabilities, only anglers with disabilities in this category will be allowed to participate in the actual competition. Helpers and sponsors will be welcome to fish after the event closes.
We are expecting 150 anglers with disabilities and therefore would need about 350 helpers to host this event.
We are solely dependent on public and corporate donations to function as a care giving organisation,” said the organisation’s Frank Kruger.
The organisers need to cater for at least 500 people on the day, serving morning beverages and snacks on arrival and two meals during the day. They also need prizes and goodie bags.
If you want to assist with the event SMS ‘FISH’ to 40010 or scan the ZAPPA code (charged at R20 per entry).
Donations can also be made to the organisation’s account:
- QuadPara Association of KZN,
- Nedbank, code: 198765,
- account number: 1336013079,
- reference: FISH16‘NAME’.
The draw will take place on the day at 2pm and closing time for the entries is 1.50pm. Winners who can’t be present at that time will be contacted and will not lose their prize.
