Another 250 illegal posters binned on Bluff
650 posters have been removed to date.
THE ward 66 battle against illegal signs continued this weekend, with another 250 posters removed.
On Saturday, 4 March, three volunteers joined ward 66 councillor, JP Prinsloo in his bid to remove illegal signs from poles around the Bluff.
For one hour, the group travelled along main roads and side streets to tackle the scourge. The contact details of perpetrators were compiled in a database and an investigation has been started by the municipality with a view to prosecuting offenders.
This follows the first removal campaign on Sunday, 19 February, which saw 400 illegal posters being binned.
The next poster removal campaign will be held on Saturday, 18 March, at 8.30am, starting at 45 Old Mission Road.
