Fun face lift for Bluff park

After nearly five months of negotiation and planning with the parks department, a new playground set has finally been installed in the park.

CHILDREN from the Bluff can get into the swing of things and enjoy the new playground equipment that has been installed in a local park.

The park at the corner of Dunville and Shamrock roads has received some much-needed aesthetic improvements with the addition of the swing and climbing set.

“After nearly five months of negotiation and planning with the parks department, a new playground set has finally been installed in the park. This includes two new swing sets and a climbing gym,” said ward 66 councillor, JP Prinsloo.

“By installing the new equipment this area can be utilised by the public more frequently, which will ensure it isn’t abused by vagrants.”

The councillor has a list of parks in the suburb that requires repairs, upgrades and the installation of playground equipment. This list has been sent to the department.

“To avoid any false promises, I will inform the community of the parks once the new equipment has been installed. Thank you to the parks department for investing in our community and taking care of our children.”
