Pros and cons of being tall
If you do try to make contact with a tall person, here is a list of things you should not do.

THERE are a lot of benefits to being tall and though many people won’t believe it there are some drawbacks.

Read: Five things short people wish you wouldn’t do
Pro: We can generally see everything around us over the tops of other heads.
Con: Leg room in public transport is a pain!
Pro: We can get away with wearing formal flat shoes and be comfortable all night.
Con: Some full length pants end up being three-quarters and that cute dress ends up being a cute blouse.
Pro: We stand out in a crowd.
Con: We stand out in a crowd!

Don’t be afraid to approach us – we don’t bite. (Well, I suppose I can’t speak for every tall person in the world). If you do try to make contact with a tall person don’t do the following:
- Ask us how the weather is up there.
- Stare at our navels or chests just because that is where your eyeline is.
- Stand on tiptoes to try have a conversation.
- Use us as your personal fetcher.
Special note to shop owners – please stop putting the larger size shoes on the bottom shelves. While not every tall person has large feet, the general rule is the taller you are the longer your feet are – you know for balance and stuff.
Anyway, despite the obstacles I wouldn’t want to change a thing.
