Cuttings Beach Road to close for a year
In the interest of safety, only construction vehicles will be allowed to use this road during the closure period.

TANJORE Drive (Cuttings Beach Road) will be closed to the public for about 14 months from August to September 2019.
The closure is necessitated by a project which is being undertaken to replace a section of the existing sea outfall pipeline along Cuttings Beach.

This project is in accordance with the environmental authorisation received for the Southern Wastewater Treatment Works solids removal and treatment facilities upgrade.
In the interest of safety, only construction vehicles will be allowed to use this road during the closure period. A temporary car park facility will be provided off Travancore Drive, which will allow unlimited access to Cuttings Beach via a designated pedestrian walkway.
