Friendships celebrated at Montclair Junior Primary
Montclair Junior Primary pupils looked lovely in red, pink and white for Friendship Day.
While many celebrated love on Valentine’s Day, the value of friendship was acknowledged at Montclair Junior Primary, through the school’s Friendship Day programme, on Thursday, 14 February.
Pupils looked lovely in red, pink and white and took part in special activities such as singing, dancing, stories and arts and culture. All activities were aimed at emphasising the value of friendship and expressing kindness to their fellow peers.
“As a junior primary school, we chose to refer to this day as Friendship Day with the focus being on the value of friendships and how to treat our friends. With so much bullying and negativity happening around us, true friendship is one of the greatest gifts in life and this day is just one of the ways we teach our little ones to respect and cherish one another, from a young age,” said Montclair Junior Primary principal, Shamashini Chetty.
