UPDATE: Woodlands child succumbs to drowning injuries

The four-year-old boy was in a critical condition

A WOODLANDS child has succumbed to injuries he sustained in a drowning incident on Sunday afternoon, 17 February.

Rescue Care paramedics Mokgachane and Senzo Dlamini responded to the scene of the Atherstone Place home at about 4.30pm, where they found a four-year-old boy in a critical condition. Despite successfully resuscitating him before transporting him to hospital, he succumbed to his injuries during the night.

Rescue Care paramedics found the boy next to a swimming pool.
