The ever popular breakfast trips will take place on Sunday, 13 October

The men’s Port Natal singles competition kicked off on Saturday, 5 October.

Durban Wanderers hosted 16 players with Doug Bashford (Stella Park) and Willem Pelser (Amanzimtoti) progressing to the next rounds at Parkhill.

The club thanks members who took time out to mark for the players on the day.

Steve van Rooyen progressed the furthest, losing to Wayne Ritmuller in the last eight. The ever popular breakfast trips will take place on Sunday, 13 October. Call the scribe if you wish to enter a side.

Friday’s various meat pack winners were: lamb pack – Thomas Simpkins, beef – Justin Reid, pork roast – Des Demmer, beef roast – Rob Philogene, chicken pack – Steven Brown and chicken – Precious Mbele.

The R900 snowball was not won as Sunderan Pillay was not present.

The Friday Lotto sitting at R1 700 was a carry over as no one guessed the correct three numbers drawn.

The clubs’ function rooms – tavern, upstairs and downstairs are now fully renovated and available for hire.

The two squash courts also have some unallocated time slots for members and non-members.

Contact the club on 031-462-2320 or pop-in for further enquiries.
