Captain Le Roux awarded for outstanding contributions
Captain Le Roux manages ongoing campaigns and mostly finances them herself.
ENTHUSIASTIC and passionate are two words that best describe Brighton Beach SAPS’ communications officer, captain Louise le Roux’s job approach. Her zeal and determination to always go over and above her call of duty contributed to her being recognised at the 7th Annual SAPS Excellence Awards.
Captain Le Roux, who won the award for Administration Employee of the Year Level 8 to 12, also serves the Brighton Beach based station as a sub-section commander. The only rose among the thorns in her category, she was nominated against two male counterparts who hail from Limpopo and the Eastern Cape.
Her initiative and displays of great enthusiasm for her work were some of the attributes that placed her above the competition. She coordinates and implements crime awareness campaigns, projects and events, which aim to enhance service delivery her jurisdiction.
Le Roux initiates, coordinates, implements and executes administrative and operational actions related to her community, the business sector and educational institutions, especially on matters that pose a threat to the community’s safety and well-being.
Her dedication for her work resulted in 104 awareness initiatives focusing on crimes, safer schools and internal projects, where she consistently exceeded the targets set in all areas of responsibility.
Captain Le Roux manages ongoing campaigns and mostly finances them herself. After winning a KZN Excellence Award in 2018, she reinvested all her winnings to improve her office environment to reflect a professional working space when she engages with members of the community or does trauma counselling.
