Mayor wishes Muslim community well over Ramadaan period
While the Muslim community observes this important time with religious practices, Mayor Kaunda urged them to adhere to the lockdown regulations.
ETHEKWINI Municipality Mayor Mxolisi Kaunda has wished the Muslim community well over the holy period of Ramadaan.
“As you have entered a time of deep spirituality during a very difficult time when we face a worldwide pandemic, I wish you great strength and fulfilment as you observe a month of fasting, sacrifice, reflection and giving,” said Mayor Kaunda.
Since eThekwini is a melting pot of diverse cultures, race and religion, Kaunda said he was optimistic that the people of eThekwini will unite in their diversity during this holy period of Ramadan to conquer the pandemic of the coronavirus.
