Two arrested for brutal Clairwood murder
Investigations at the scene led to the arrest of two men aged 47 and 37.
MONTCLAIR police are investigating a case of murder following the fatal stabbing of a 33-year-old man on Friday, 1 May.
According to Montclair police spokesperson, captain Derek Vijiam, the man was assaulted at about 2.30pm and was rushed to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
“He was assaulted by unknown people with an unknown object at Kwamanzamnyama Informal Settlement,” said Cpt Vijiam.
“He was taken to Wentworth Hospital by family members and died later as a result of his injuries. Detectives and the Tri-Task Team, under the supervision of captain Rico Naidoo, visited the scene,” he said.
Investigations at the scene led to the arrest of two men aged 47 and 37.
“The bush knives used in the commission of the crime were recovered. Both accused were charged and sent to the Durban Court on Wednesday, 6 May,” added Vijiam.
