Two drug dealers arrested in Wentworth
Both men were arrested in the area on the same day.
THE Wentworth Visible Policing Unit, with the assistance of Metro Police, secured two separate drug arrests on Wednesday, 17 June.
The two men, aged 25 and 53, were found to be dealing and in possession of heroin in Wentworth. The arrests were made just hours apart on the day.
“The first arrest made at about 3pm was for dealing in and being in possession of heroin. The second accused was arrested at about 5pm for possession of heroin in the Wentworth area,” said spokesperson for the Wentworth branch, captain Mbuso Gumede.
In both arrests, the captain added, drugs and an undisclosed amount of cash, gained by selling the drugs, were seized.
“Both accused appeared in Wentworth Court on Thursday, 18 June,” he said.
