Montclair police use mobile station after member tests positive for Covid-19

Residents are advised to call 10111 for any emergencies.

DEEP  cleaning and sanitising are currently underway at Montclair police station after a member tested positive for Covid-19.

The station was closed on Monday afternoon, 6 July at about 3pm.

This was confirmed by the communications officer for the Monclair police branch, Captain Derek Vijiam, who assured that the station is not completely closed, as there is a mobile Community Service Center outside the station to assist with emergencies.

“Cleansing has commenced at the charge office and will be done throughout the station. The shift members who were in contact with the member are at home, so the station is short of members,” he said.

Residents are advised to call 10111 for any emergencies.
