CMH Kempster Ford Durban South ran the food drive at the Bluff Super Spar from Friday, 2 to Saturday, 3 October.
“We asked shoppers while they were shopping at the Bluff Super Spar if they could buy and donate some food. In two days, we collected a bakkie full of food. This will definitely help them because they do a lot of community work where they help a lot of foster dogs and people in financial difficulties at the moment,” said Matthew Buck of CMH Kempster Ford Durban South.
“The food will assist those people to feed their pets so they can keep them rather than having to put them in shelters. The organisation totally relies on charitable income and fundraising events which is what prompted our outreach. If you’re looking for a dog, the Bluff Rescue Kennels is always a good place to get one,” added Buck.
“A huge thank you to Matthew Buck and Kempster South for doing a food drive for us. Thank you to the public for so kindly donating and opening your wallets and hearts for the doggies at the Bluff Rescue Kennels. It is much appreciated, we could not have done this without you. Your ongoing support is much appreciated,” said Amanda Herschel, one of the directors at the kennels,
