Bluff community rallies to build ‘Tower of Courage’
Reigning Miss KwaZulu-Natal, Natalie Healey embarked on a project with Role Models Foundation (RMF) to collect much-need food donations to charities in need.
THE Bluff Spar was abuzz with excitement when community members came out to support a worthy cause on Friday, November 13.
Reigning Miss KwaZulu-Natal, Natalie Healey embarked on a project with Role Models Foundation (RMF) to collect much-need food donations to charities in need. The initiative took place in all the provinces, where the reigning Miss, Mrs and Mr title holders rallied people to donate tinned food and perishables to build a tower. The KZN tower was named ‘The Tower of Courage’ and Natalie chose Isiaiah 54 Children’s Sanctuary as her beneficiary organisation. The Bluff-based organisation provides welfare to abused, abandoned and HIV infected children.
“The community support was fantastic. So many people came out with their contributions towards the drive. Due to Covid-19, there are so many people who have lost their jobs and are struggling to feed their families. So this is the reason that the RMF put together this project. Giving back to the community is so important and such projects go along way in helping those in need,” said a grateful Natalie who has been involved in charity work for over 10 years.
RMF is a registered NPO, which hosts philanthropic pageants and other fundraisers across South Africa.
