Big Bash Boys take the win by the wicket

THE T20 Big Bash cricket league saw Big Bash Boys take on Greedy Guys in an enjoyable yet hotly competitive game on Sunday, November 29 at Woodlands Sports Club.

“Greedy Guys were put in to bat first and they were bowled out for 69 after 13.5 overs. Ratesh Ramraj made 17 runs and Kyle Padayachee made 17 runs. While Big Bash Boys were bowling, the wicket takers, Hamza Mohammed bowled three overs for 15 runs and took three wickets. Yaseen Khan bowled three overs for eight runs and took three wickets.

“When the game changed over and Big Bash Boys put into bat, Connor Wilson made 25 off 14 balls not out. Bowlers, Craig bowled four overs for two wickets and Avi Inkram bowled four overs for 19 and two runs,” explained the league’s main umpire, Andre’a Dal Moro.

Big Bash Boys claimed victory by three wickets with Conner Wilson as man of the match.

League games are played by organised teams of mixed age groups, who play against each other in different fixtures every weekend. Matches take place at three separate venues; Woodlands Sports Club, Ashley Sports Club in Pinetown and in Pietermaritzburg.
