Montclair woman killed in shooting

MONTCLAIR police are investigating a case of murder after a woman was shot and killed outside her home on Thursday, 24 December.

KZN police spokesperson, Nqobile Gwala said the woman was attacked by three men on Ronald Road, Montclair. “They fired shots at her and she sustained injuries to the neck. Her vehicle veered off the road and hit the wall across.

Montclair police spokesperson, Captain Derek Vijiam said the woman was pulling out her driveway from a complex when she was accosted by the men who fired several shots. He added that the woman, who is believed to be in her 50s, died on the scene.

“The suspects made their getaway in a Toyota Etios with unknown registration. An investigation is pending,” he said.
