Montclair police seek deceased man’s family

The 33-year-old man was involved in a collision on Thursday, 28 January, at 11.45am.

SAPS MONTCLAIR appeals to the public for assistance in locating the next of kin of Sanele Samukelo Malimela who is originally from the Nhlazuka area in Richmond.

 

Police appeal for assistance in locating the next of kin of the deceased Sanele Samukelo Malimela.

The 33-year-old man was involved in a collision on Thursday, 28 January, at 11.45am.

“He was knocked by a heavy-duty vehicle opposite 401 South Coast Road, Rossburgh. At the time of the collision, he was a resident of La Lucia shacks in Clairwood. His body is presently kept at the mortuary pending identification from his next of kin,” said communications officer, Captain Derek Vijiam.

Malimela was wearing a blue overall top and green overall trousers with sandals when the accident happened. Vijiam added the friends the deceased lived with do not have any knowledge of his family.

Carjacking

AN e-hailing service driver was awaiting a client when he was accosted by three unknown men on Halifax Road, Woodlands on Thursday, 18 February at about 12.50pm.

“One of the three men had a firearm and pointed it at the victim. The victim was forced out of his vehicle, a Toyota Avanza. The man with a gun was joined in the vehicle by the two unknown men. Thereafter the perpetrators drove off with the vehicle,” said Vijiam.

Robbery with a firearm

A TRUCK driver was held at gunpoint in his truck on South Coast, Road Clairwood on Thursday, 18 February at about 9.30am. “He was accosted by a man who pointed him with a firearm. The man removed his cash, a Samsung cellphone and truck keys,” said Vijiam.
