WARD 68 community members came out in their numbers at the Austerville Community Hall to cast their votes in one of the most significant municipal elections in recent history.

I’m a Wentworth resident and I’m voting for change and a better life.

We need a transformation. Transformation is very important in this country if we are to have a better chance at life improved service delivery.

I have been living in Wentworth since 1972. I am voting today because this area has been neglected for far too long. I think it’s time we gave another party a chance to run ward 68. in other places, there are RDP houses which we have never had in Wentworth while housing is a big issue. We also have many social ills, including drug abuse, crime and teen pregnancy. I would love Wentworth to be a better place and that is why I am casting my vote.

I am voting for change. Wentworth has been run by the same political party for years. I think it’s time to vote in a young candidate who will bring new ideas and direction to the community. I would also like to see more young people come out to vote.

I have lived in Wentworth all my life. Voting gives me a voice. I will be voting for someone who I feel is suitable to serve as councillor, someone who has proven themselves by working in the community to try and make a difference for everyone and every race.
