Fighting violence with prayer in Wentworth

The walk was held under the banner of Wentworth Church leaders, the Community Building Credible Organisation (CBCO) and the Wentworth Community Policing Forum.

ENOUGH is enough and God needs to intervene.

This was the message that echoed throughout Wentworth as community members took to the streets on a prayer and peace walk on Saturday, November 27.

The initiative sought to bring attention to the ongoing murders occurring almost every week in the community and to pray for peace, love and unity in hopes to end the violence.

The walk was held under the banner of Wentworth Church leaders, the Community Building Credible Organisation (CBCO) and the Wentworth Community Policing Forum.

Community leader, Desmond D’sa led the crowd, calling for individuals to support the walk as well as play a proactive part in restoring peace in a troubled community.
