LETTER: Water wastage must stop

The City must prioritise water repairs and better maintain infrastructure.

EDITOR – Water is scarce.

We had to collect emergency water from a tap at the Brighton Beach tidal pool offices on Monday, January 24. There was a manhole near the tap gushing gallons of water.

We reported it to our councillor, who said she reported it and got a reference number. I went to the tidal pool again this morning (Tuesday, February 1) and the water is still gushing with no sign of stopping. The water meter is ticking with every litre rushing through.
