Several learners injured as taxi rolls on M19

Multiple school children have been sent to hospital following a serious minibus taxi accident.

FIFTEEN to 20 schoolchildren have sustained various injuries after a taxi accident on the M19 just before 07:00 on Friday morning. ALS Paramedics Medical Services spokesperson Garrith Jamieson reported they attended to the incident.

“We arrived on the scene to find that a single taxi carrying school children had lost control and overturned multiple times, coming to rest on the centre island. Immediately, more ambulances and Advanced Life Support Paramedics were dispatched to the scene to assist,” said Jamieson.
