The talent show featured a panel of esteemed judges, including Sibongile Fakude, Gavin Hegter and Andrew Millar. Their expertise and insights were invaluable in determining the winners among the many talented participants.

Thembelihle Mbanito clinched first place with an outstanding performance, winning R1 000 and a speaker with headphones. Jasmine Pillay secured second place, earning a voucher worth R500 for a custom-made swimsuit and earplug speakers. Third place was awarded to the group of Lian Sibande, Omoleno Lencwane and Natasha Mudiwa, who received earplug speakers.

Heidi Geyser, treasurer of the Montwood Ratepayers’ Association, expressed her gratitude for the community’s support and participation. “It was so much fun but hard work getting it all organised. I am grateful and thankful for the support of the committee, parents and judges, for the donations and for the epic performances of the contestants. This was an amazing talent show,” she said.

She added that the event was made possible thanks to the support of Living Word Church, who managed the sound system and provided donations and assistance on the day. Their contribution was instrumental in bringing the vision of the event to life.

Geyser emphasised that the Montwood’s Got Talent show was not only a platform for showcasing local talent but also a testament to the strength and unity of the Montwood community.
