This year’s theme, ‘embrace your positivity and let it shine’ was aimed at acknowledging the learners’ accomplishments and recognition of their resilience throughout the year.
Deputy principal Sushila Herd said awards were given to learners from Grade 8 to 11 for their overall achievements in academics so far, while Grade 12 learners were awarded academic awards and trophies for excellence in certain subjects. There were also contributions to sport, culture, and positive involvement in school.
The guest speaker, chemical engineer Lungi Biyela, inspired the learners and parents with a positive message on maintaining a positive mindset and the importance of persistence when striving to reach one’s goals.
Top achievers:
- Grade 8: Siphiwe Nomatshila – 91.59% average.
- Grade 9: Olwam Vikwa – 89.59% average.

- Grade 11: Khanya Siyamthokoza Dlamini – 86.55% average.

Herd extended her appreciation to the committed staff and supportive parents who had enabled the school to realise its vision in achieving excellence in academics.
