Musical bingo plays the right chords at Harlequins Sports Club

Music lovers were assured a night of fun and the audience remained in high spirits despite the low-key start to the year. Nicolas Viljoen, the club’s vice chairperson and the event host, said attendees were able to play bingo but with a special twist as they used the name of songs instead of numbers

Warren Baker and Andre Gerber were chuffed to be playing a musical bingo instead of regular bingo.

“Musical bingo allows you to choose themes. It brings people together with music, discussion and memories. They sing along and try being the first to guess the tune being played,” he said.

Reflecting on the event, Viljoen said four rounds were played and the crowd remained lively the entire time, singing along and dancing in their seats.

Nicolas Viljoen was the bingo caller for the night.

Harlequins Sports Club hopes to bring people together through musical evenings, filled with laughter and camaraderie, like their musical bingo night.

Glynnis Dauth and Youandi Gillain enjoy their time at musical bingo.
