Why is Postbank asking us to change our cards?
This is an upgrade from a gold to a black card. Just like in any other bank, cards get to a point where they need to be changed because they either have expired or they need to be replaced to ensure they are continuously secure. Usually, banks charge a fee for replacing expired, damaged or lost cards. Postbank is replacing these cards free of charge.
Can asylum seekers also get access to their black cards?
What do they need to bring? Black cards are not yet being issued to asylum seekers at this stage. However, they will continue to access their grant money from any Post Office with their current documents when the gold cards stop working.
