Brothers killed at funeral in Merebank shooting

The two brothers were killed while attending a funeral of their relative that was held on Juggernaut Road in the afternoon.

TWO people were shot dead at the relative’s funeral in Merebank this afternoon.

Spokesperson for PT Alarms, Dhevan Govindasamy said the two brothers were gunned down on Juggernaut Road.

“PT Alarms Tactical and Armed Response units responded swiftly to the double fatal shooting.

“Wentworth police were quickly on the scene, together with Community Policing Forum members and other security companies.

“The circumstances surrounding the shooting and the motive for the killings are subject to police investigation,” said Govindasamy.
