Man critically injured after falling from second floor of The Bluff shopping centre

The man believed to be in his 20s was working on the second floor of a shopping centre of a mall on The Bluff before he fell.

A man believed to be in his 20s is in a critical condition after falling from the second floor of a shopping centre on The Bluff this morning (November 25).

The incident:

Garrith Jamieson, spokesperson for ALS Paramedics, said emergency teams were dispatched just after 10:30 when they received multiple calls about a man who plunged from the second level to the ground level.

“The man had sustained major injuries and ALS Paramedics worked to stabilise him on scene before he was rushed to a nearby hospital for the urgent care that he required,” said Jamieson.

He added that the circumstances leading to the fall are unclear. The SAPS are working with the centre’s management team to investigate the incident.
