Montclair hosts crime awareness day

The focus of the day was to raise awareness on gender-based violence and to encourage residents to report crime to the authorities.

THE Montwood Sub Forum in partnership with Montclair police and Blue Security held a crime awareness day on November 29.

This community-focused event aimed to raise awareness around:

  • Crime prevention,
  • Promote safety education and,
  • Strengthen relationships between residents, security partners, and the police.

Pamphlets were distributed to the community to raise awareness on community safety.

The focus of the day was to raise awareness on gender-based violence (GBV). Pamphlets with information on how to combat crime were distributed to motorists and residents.

The aim was to help to:

  • Educate
  • Empower and support the community in recognising the signs of GBV
  • Know where to seek help
  • Understanding how to stand together to protect the vulnerable.
