Twice the trauma: Scholtz family home invaded again

The Scholtz family has been left shocked yet again, after their home was invaded on The Bluff, leaving them with little to nothing.

Left with nothing

John and his daughter, Jadene, were at home when individuals forcibly entered their residence and took a collection of valuable items, including cellphones, a laptop, a television, several bank cards and all the cash John had in his wallet. The robbers also stripped the family’s bedding to bundle and carry away the stolen goods.

Dealing with old trauma

The incident reopened old family wounds as in 2024 the family were victims of a home invasion that left them with little to no possessions.

The recurring nature of these intrusions has placed the family in an acutely vulnerable state, lacking basic household necessities.

Extend a helping hand

The family are appealing to the community for assistance, specifically requesting non-perishable food items, along with bedding and other essential household provisions. The Scholtz family also said that any form of aid, regardless of its scale, would be appreciated.

For those who are able to support, they can contact Santana Scholtz on 060 387 9860 and Chantal Scholtz on 065 645 4533. The family will arrange for the collection of donations if needed.

A case has been opened at the Brighton Beach Police Station and authorities are investigating further.
