Man caught with drugs worth over R11k in Montclair

The suspect was arrested during a joint operation between Metro police and KZN Counter Narcotics police in Montclair.

AN undocumented Nigerian national was arrested during a police operation in Montclair on April 30 after he was found in possession of drugs with an estimated street value of R11 000.

According to metro police, the suspect was arrested for drug dealing following an intelligence-driven operation between Durban Metro Police Service Tactical Support Unit and KZN Counter Narcotics police.

The police conducted surveillance on the suspect and, upon approaching and searching him, recovered crack cocaine with an estimated street value of R11 000. He was detained at Montclair police station.

The suspect is expected to appear in court soon.
