One killed after car slams into tree on The Bluff

According to ALS Paramedics, emergency crews arrived to find a single vehicle that had lost control before crashing into a tree.

ONE person died in a car crash on Edwin Swales Drive after his car crashed into a tree on The Bluff earlier this morning (May 26).

According to ALS Paramedics emergency services on the scene found that a single vehicle had lost control and crashed into a tree.

Spokesperson for ALS Paramedics, Garrith Jamieson, said paramedics found the driver, believed to be in his fifties, had been removed from the vehicle by bystanders.

“Paramedics assessed the man, however he showed no signs of life and was declared deceased on the scene. There were no other persons injured. At this stage the events leading up to the crash are unknown, however, the police were in attendance and will be investigating further,” said Jamieson.
