One person dead, three injured in Edwin Swales crash
A man believed to be in his thirties sustained critical injuries and died at the scene while other patients were rushed to nearby hospitals.
ONE person died and three others sustained injuries after a car they were in was involved in a collision with another vehicle on the N2 North bound near M7 Edwin Swales Drive on August 11.
ALS Paramedics spokesperson Garrith Jamieson said paramedics found that two vehicles had collided in a rear end collision.

“Paramedics assessed the scene and found multiple casualties were involved. One person, a male believed to be in his thirties who had been sitting in the rear of the vehicle, had sustained major injuries and unfortunately there was nothing paramedics could do for him. He was declared deceased on the scene. Three other occupants from both vehicles had sustained various injuries, and once stabilised on the scene, they were transported to various Durban hospitals for further care,” he said.
The events leading up to the crash are unknown.
