Drug suspect appears in Wentworth court
Police received the information about the drugs that were due to be delivered at a residence in Woodlands.
POLICE in Montclair have arrested a 38-year-old man for allegedly dealing in drugs after acting on a tip-off about a suspected drug delivery in Woodlands.
Police recovered 96 pieces of rock cocaine, 47 capsules of heroin and eight Mandrax tablets at a property recently.

Police spokesperson Colonel Robert Netshiunda said police received the information that drugs were due to be delivered at a residence in Woodlands.
The suspect was arrested during a joint operation involving:
- Provincial Drugs and Firearm Unit.
- eThekwini Infrastructure Unit.
- Excellerate K9.
“The information was operationalised and the police proceeded to the suspect’s house on Atherstone Road where he was found in possession of drugs. He was arrested and appeared at the Wentworth Magistrate’s Court,” said Netshiunda.
The suspect is expected to reappear in court for a bail application soon.
