Sassa November dates subject to change due to elections

Sassa are looking into different dates for their November payments as there is a conflicting schedule with the local government elections.

THE South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) is currently looking into alternative dates for its November payments as the Local Government Elections are set to take place on November 4.

Payment dates for November 

The original grant dates were to be paid as follows:

  • Older persons grant: Tuesday, November 3
  • Disability grant: Wednesday, November 4
  • Children’s grant: Thursday, November 5
  • Fourth day payment: Friday, November 6

To be decided

Sassa are still consulting the relevant stakeholders on the new payment dates for November. The organisation has urged beneficiaries to not panic as they will receive their grant payment.

Payment dates for October 

The October grants will be paid starting from tomorrow:

  • Older persons grant: Friday, October 2
  • Disability grant: Monday, October 5
  • Children’s grant: Tuesday, October 6
  • Fourth day payment: Wednesday, October 7
