Suspected burglar nabbed after break-in on The Bluff

The man was apprehended shortly after he tried to gain entry at a home on The Bluff. He was detained at the Brighton Beach police station.

A MAN suspected of breaking into a home on The Bluff was apprehended following swift response from security officers during a recent incident.

The Blue Security command centre received a distress call from a client on Olsen Road in Brighton Beach, reporting that a suspect was on the premises attempting to force open a window.

Blue Security said upon receiving a call from a resident, armed response officers were dispatched immediately.

“The tactical command centre deployed the Blue Security K9 Unit to provide additional support,” Blue Security said in a statement.

Upon arrival, the K9 Unit and armed response officers swiftly intercepted and apprehended the suspect as he attempted to flee the scene.

“The suspect was taken back to the premises, where he was positively identified by the client. Officers also noted that the suspect had cut marks on his hands, consistent with forcing the window open,” said Blue Security in a statement.

The suspect was handed over to the Brighton Beach police station.

The security officers were commended for their quick co-ordination and effective teamwork.
