Montclair woman busted with drugs worth over R500k

Police say the woman was found with 2.1kg of heroin and 624 grams of cocaine in her possession.

A Montclair woman was caught with more than R500 000 worth of drugs on Buller Road on Tuesday, September 13.
She is expected to appear in the Durban Magistrates Court today, September 14.
Constable Thenjiswa Ngcobo, a provincial police spokesperson, said members of the Provincial Drug and Firearm Unit followed up on information regarding a woman who was dealing in drugs in the Montclair area.
“Police officers proceeded to Buller Road where observation was conducted. Hours later the woman was spotted leaving the house. She was approached by police, who searched a backpack that she had in her possession.
“During the search, police officers discovered 2.1kg of heroin and 624 grams of cocaine with a street value of R520 000. The 29-year-old suspect was arrested for dealing in drugs and detained at Montclair SAPS,” she said.
