PHOTOS: Bowlers give it their all at bumper tournament
Sponsorship is important for sport as certain codes of sport receive no funding and cannot continue if there is no support from local businesses.
AVID bowlers put their best foot forward and filled the greens at the Wentworth Bowling Club as they competed for the Bumper Big Jim tournament, recently.
Club president, Cheryl Waterman, said she was thrilled to see the bowling greens with various players from the club and community, who joined in the excitement.
“We thank ABSA’s Bluff branch and appreciate them for giving back to community sport. All bowlers got bottle of water and prize vouchers were handed to those who were placed in the first, second and third positions.
“ABSA products were also raffled to raise funds. Sponsorship is important for sport as certain codes of sport receive no funding and cannot continue if there is no support from local businesses. We urge other businesses to jump on board and assist sports clubs when they can,” said Waterman.
