Bluff man scoops first prince title

Joshua Zayne Hoskins competed in the Mr and Miss Durban 2023 pageant.

HAVING defied many odds in his life, Joshua Zayne Hoskins, was left feeling proud after he walked away with the first prince title in the Mr and Miss Durban 2023 pageant.

The annual youth empowerment pageant was  held at the Durban Manor Hotel and Conference Centre, recently.

Hoskins, 27, who lives on The Bluff said he was proud of his achievement.

“I feel elated and proud of myself for taking this positive step, mainly because I was diagnosed with a severe case of Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and was on medication for many years. I had many obstacles over the years, but with the help of my teachers, mother and God, I have overcome them.

“I am also blessed to have this platform which I will use to empower people, especially the youth about the ministry of God. I also want to be an example to people about the power of positivity and to encourage them to have goals, ambition and a drive to want to better their lives,” he said.
