BRIGHTON Beach police are appealing to the community to help them find 19-year-old Fernanda Langa, who was last seen on July 29.

Captain Louise le Roux, Brighton Beach police spokesperson, said according to Langa’s family, she was last seen at her residence on The Bluff, at about 17:30.

“On July 31, a family member received a message from Fernanda claiming that they must stop looking for her, that she was fine and not missing, or in trouble. It can not be confirmed if the author of the WhatsApp messages is Fernanda. She has not been in conversation with any of her family since her being reported as missing,” said Le Roux.

Langa was last seen dressed in a blue and white sleeveless dress with an open back. She is fair in complexion, slender, has brown eyes and long black/blonde braids.

“The investigation to date suggests that Fernanda may be in the vicinity of Umhlanga or the Durban Central area,” added Le Roux.

If you have any information on her whereabouts, contact Detective Sergeant Bujela on 031 451 8059/60 or 031 451 8027/77.
