“When I entered the school as deputy principal in 2007, I was instructed to lead the school and staff through a workshop explaining the school’s motto and vision. Through that workshop, I was able to fully grasp the vision and what the school stands fo,r and it resonated with me quite deeply; that is why I am so passionate about this school,” said Shezi.

Understanding the weight of his role, Shezi emphasised the importance of creating a conducive and nurturing environment for learners.

“I think it is imperative for me to provide a brain-safe environment for the learners. This means going beyond academic and sporting excellence and ensuring that they develop meaningful and beneficial characteristics that they can use even when they are not at school. Another goal of mine is something I’m inheriting from my predecessors – to continuously build and improve infrastructure at the school. It will allow us to be more and do more for the children that come through,” said Shezi.

As Shezi assumes leadership at New Forest High School, the community and school eagerly anticipate the positive changes he will bring, mindful of his dedicated vision for the school’s future.
