Trevan Soobramoney, the class teacher, elevated it further by creating a welcoming and celebratory environment where each child was able to enjoy their sweet treat. The act served as reward for the learners’ good behavior and hard work as well as a way of spreading joy and togetherness.

“The smiles on their faces said it all. It was heartwarming to see them enjoy the simple pleasure of a waffle while bonding with their classmates,” said Soobramoney.

He added that he hopes that waffle Friday will become a cherished tradition at Austerville Primary, bringing happiness to the school’s youngest learners. Nelly Simamane, the principal of the school, praised the initiative, viewing it as an excellent means of making school an even nicer experience for children.

As the Grade Ones savoured their waffles, the room was filled with their laughter and happiness.
