M4 South Road rehabilitation on track

Two contractors are resurfacing the M4 South in phases, with a total budget of R90m. The road also connects Merebank to Durban.

THE leadership of eThekwini Municipality visited the M4 South (Inkosi Albert Luthuli Highway) recently to assess the progress of its rehabilitation.

This key route connects the city to southern regions and economic hubs.

In a statement, the municipality said despite earlier delays due to weather and material shortages, the project is on track for completion by June 30.

Councillor Themba Mvubu expressed satisfaction with the quality of work and reaffirmed the City’s commitment to safe, reliable infrastructure.
