The project involves lane closures and traffic management measures aimed at minimising disruptions during the construction.

However, some road users have expressed frustration on social media due to traffic congestion resulting from road closures.

According to Transnet National Ports Authority, the project is carried out in two distinct phases, each lasting about three months.

This phased approach aims to ensure efficient implementation while minimising disruption to traffic.

The road which connects The Bluff to eThekwini is currently closed due to road construction work.
