Msawenkosi Msane appeared in court on August 22 for a bail application, however the matter was adjourned for further investigation.
According to the investigating officer, Sergeant Sifiso Shezi, the accused was arrested early this year after community members apprehended him shortly after he stabbed the deceased.
The incident happened near the N2 toward Clairwood.
“A rank manager who witnessed the brawl between the two, alerted community members. The deceased died due to severe stab wound injuries he sustained. The public then apprehended the suspect and called the police. He was charged accordingly,” said Shezi.
The court heard that Msane and the deceased worked together at a business in Clairwood.
