One person dead, another injured in M4 car crash

The passenger from a private vehicle died after being ejected through the windscreen. The driver sustained minor injuries.

ONE person died and another sustained minor injuries after a car they were travelling in collided with the rear of a truck on the M4 Freeway before the Quality Street offramp today.

According to Kival Singh for Security Force the passenger was ejected from the vehicle through the windscreen.

“The passenger was declared deceased on scene by paramedics. The driver of the car sustained minor to moderate injuries and is currently being treated. The driver of the truck sustained no injuries. It’s established that the driver of the private vehicle lost control of the vehicle. The impact resulted in the diff of the truck getting bent. Medical and tow truck services were on the scene,” said Singh.
