Trio set to appear in Wentworth court for house break-in

Three wanted suspects were caught red-handed during an alleged house break-in in Clairwood yesterday. They are expected to appear in court today.

THREE suspects are expected to appear at the Wentworth Magistrate’s Court this morning (December 5) on charges of attempted house break-ins.

The trio was caught after they allegedly broke into the premises on Sigamoney Road in Clairwood on December 4.

A police source told the SUN that the suspects were wanted for other house break-in cases in the Montclair and Clairwood areas.

According to a statement from Blue Security, the suspects were found actively bending burglar bars in an attempt to gain entry to the premises.

They were swiftly apprehended before they could gain access or flee.

“Blue Security Armed Response Officers and Tactical Members were dispatched to Sigamoney Road, Clairwood, following reports of a burglary in progress. Upon arrival, officers identified three suspects actively bending burglar bars in an attempt to gain entry to the premises. The suspects were swiftly apprehended before they could gain access or flee,” Blue Security said in a statement.

The suspects were handed over to Montclair police station, where they were formally charged with attempted burglary.
