As we approach the end of another year, I would like to take this opportunity to wish all residents of Ward 64 a peaceful and joyful festive season.

This has been a year of challenges but also of resilience and community spirit. I am deeply grateful for the support, patience and collaboration shown by our residents, community organisations and stakeholders. Together we have worked to improve our neighbourhoods, and I remain committed to serving you with dedication and transparency.

May this festive season bring rest, joy and the opportunity to reconnect with loved ones. Let us enter the new year with renewed hope, strength and unity as we continue striving to make Ward 64 a safer, cleaner and more inclusive place for all.

Wishing you a blessed Christmas and prosperous New Year. Stay safe, travel carefully and thank you for being an active part of our community.

As we reach the close of another year, I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to every member of our community. Thank you for your resilience, your participation and your commitment to making our ward a stronger, safer and more caring place.

This year has brought both challenges and achievements, and I am deeply proud of the spirit with which our community continues to face each day. Your support, engagement and willingness to work together remain the foundation of our progress.

As we enter the festive season, I wish you and your families peace, rest and joyful moments. May this time be filled with warmth, unity and renewed hope for the year ahead.

Please travel safely, look out for one another and let us continue building a community that uplifts and includes every resident.

My message for the festive season is one of concern for what’s been happening to our community for some time now. Crime and violence have been traumatising and tormenting the community of Ward 68 and have been for many years.

One would have thought by now things would have changed, gotten better, and most people would be living in peace and harmony. Unfortunately, this is not the case. We as a community need to encourage each other to keep praying for peace, understanding, love and happiness for our community, and ask God to cast out all this evil that’s causing unhappiness and grief in our community.

We are hoping for a brighter tomorrow that will bring a festive season full of joy, happiness and peace. That aside we are looking forward to a happy, peaceful and joyous festive season and a prosperous New Year. May all our prayers be answered so that we can live in peace and harmony. Let us try to keep death off our roads by not drinking and driving. God bless you all

Safe and blessed festive season

All ward councillors shared a message of hope for a better tomorrow and more importantly a safe and blessed festive season and new year.
